FOX News Channel to Present Special Programming to Mark 9/11 15-Year Anniversary

FOX NEWS channel (FNC) will present special live programming to commemorate the 15-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks on Sunday, September 11, 2016, beginning with FOX and Friends Sunday at 6AM/ET and continuing through primetime.

Hosted by weekday co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade, FOX and Friends Sunday (6-10AM/ET) will present the yearly "Flashback 9/11: As It Happened" package, as well as take the first moment of silence at 8:46 AM/ET when the first plane hit.

At 10AM/ET, anchor Jon Scott will present a two-hour special entitled 9/11: 15 Years Later to reflect on the changes and challenges Americans have faced since that tragic day over a decade ago.

FNC's Maria Bartiromo will anchor a live hour of Sunday Morning Futures at 12PM/ET, followed by AMERICA'S ELECTION HEADQUARTERS at 1PM/ET, anchored by Shannon Bream & Leland Vittert. At 2PM/ET, Chris Wallace will anchor Fox News Sunday, followed by another edition of AMERICA'S ELECTION HEADQUARTERS anchored by Eric Shawn and Arthel Neville from 3-5PM/ET and 6PM/ET.

At 5PM/ET, FNC will present a special hour of MediaBuzz, hosted by Howard Kurtz, followed by FOX REPORT Sunday, anchored by Harris Faulkner, at 7PM/ET.

Additionally, chief political anchor Bret Baier will debut a special edition of Special Report at 8PM/ET, which will run each Sunday in primetime through the election.

At 9PM/ET, Fox News Reporting: 9/11: Timeline of Terror will present a complete timeline for the events that took place in 2001. There is no host or narration for this special, nor any commercial interruptions. The story is told using "real time" sources from events of 9/11 and features interviews with both survivors and rescuers from the World Trade Center and Pentagon as well as the relatives of those on United Airlines Flight 93. Additional interviews detail the movements of President Bush that day, including with the White House Press Secretary Ari Fleisher who was in Florida with the President, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who were in the White House.

Foxnews.com will have a landing page "hub" for all 9/11 anniversary related content including images, video and news articles to mark the milestone.

Additionally, Fox News Radio (FNR) will present live coverage of 9/11 commemorative ceremonies anchored by Tonya J. Powers. Powers will also anchor a "Securing America" special examining how terrorism and national security threats in the United States have changed since the attacks in 2001.
