For the past three decades, Esquire magazine's Best New Restaurants list has identified the most remarkable new restaurants and chefs in the country. This new breed of chefs gave America a brand new culinary identity, and transformed the role of the chef in American society. RESTAURANT REVOLUTION, airing Wednesday, November 12 at 8p e/p sits down with the POWER PLAYERS behind America's culinary revolution-and the food, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll that came with it.

The one-hour special profiles chefs from Esquire's Best New Restaurants 2014 list, as well as a look at some of the culinary rockstars who have appeared on the list in years past. RESTAURANT REVOLUTION traces the connection between today's top chefs and legendary ones, as well as their influences, inspirations and the innovative cuisine that shot them to stardom.

Featured chefs and restaurants include:

Wolfgang Puck, who fathered Fusion cuisine in America and transformed the American culinary landscape with his Chinese- and French-influenced Chinois on Main (Esquire "Best New Restaurant" '84)

Jonathan Waxman, the original "bad boy chef" who introduced California cooking to New York City with Jams (Esquire Best New Restaurants List '84)

Tom Colicchio, best known for pushing the boundaries of simplicity at Gramercy Tavern (Esquire Best New Restaurants List '94)

John Tesar, one of the most controversial chefs working today, whose restaurant Knife pushes the concept of the Texas steakhouse into new territory (Esquire Best New Restaurants List 2014)

RESTAURANT REVOLUTION is produced for Esquire Network by Magical Elves, with Dan Cutforth and Lane Lipsitz as executive producers.
