Film distribution company Emerging Pictures and Royal Opera House subsidiary Opus Arte have come to a distribution agreement, Variety reports.  Emerging Pictures will distribute live transmissions of the Royal Opera House's operas and ballets, as well as Shakespeare productions at the Globe Theater, in North America.

The new transmissions will be part of Emerging Pictures' 'Opera in Cinema' series; new 'Ballet in Cinema' and 'Shakespeare in Cinema' series will be created, Variety reports.

Emerging Pictures is run by Barry Rebo and Ira Deutchman and distributes speciality and alternative filmed works to over sixty-eight theatres.
