Ellen Burstyn Signs on for Laurie Weltz's SCOUT Film

According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Ellen Burstyn has signed on to star in Laurie Weltz's Scout, opposite Jane Seymour, India Ennenga, James Frecheville, Onata Aprile, Tim Guinee, Danny Glover and Nikki Reed.

Burstyn's upcoming big screen projects include Wish You Well, Enemy Way, The Calling, Flowers in the Attic, Draft Day, Interstellar, and Diamond in the Dust. She recently appeared in the TV mini-series Political Animals, for which she won an Emmy Award this year.

Burstyn last appeared on Broadway in this year's Picnic. Her other Broadway credits include Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, Sacrilege, Shimada, Shirley Valentine, 84 Charing Cross Road and Same Time, Next Year, as well as off-Broadway's The Little Flower of East Orange and The Children's Hour in the West End in 2011.
