In anticipation of the live 65th Annual Emmy Award broadcast on CBS this Sunday, BWW will be spotlighting the Emmy nominated TV performances of some of Broadway's biggest stars. Today, we take a look back at Zachary Quinto's terrifying stint on FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM!

Zachary Quinto is currently making his Broadway debut in John Tiffany's revival of Tennessee Williams' much-lauded play THE GLASS MENAGERIE - but before he joined co-stars Cherry Jones and Celia Keenan-Bolger onstage, Quinto turned heads and stomachs as Dr. Oliver Thredson/Bloody Face on the second season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story - which just landed him a 2013 Emmy nomination. Below, BroadwayWorld honors Quinto with selected clips from the show!

Quinto is best known for his portrayal of the young Mr. Spock in the JJ Abrams directed 2009 film Star Trek and as Sylar in the NBC series Heroes. His theatre credits include the role of Louis in the revival of Angels in America at Signature Theatre for which he received a Theater World Award and a Drama Desk nomination, as well as Side Man, Gross Indecency (City Theatre Company), Much Ado About Nothing (LA Shakespeare Festival), A Lonely Impulse of Delight (Vineyard Playhouse), The Bear (Tintreach Company - Galway, Ireland), Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow (Old Globe), Much Ado About Nothing (LA Shakespeare Festival), Pro Bono Publico, A Map of Doubt and Rescue, Laying On of Hands, Lonesome Hollow (Ojai Playwright's Conference). He may currently be seen on the second season of the Emmy nominated show American Horror Story on FX. This past year, Quinto produced and starred in Margin Call which was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

The 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie began performances at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) on Thursday, September 5, 2013, and opens on Thursday, September 26th. The production also stars multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.

Tickets can be purchased at Telecharge.com, by calling (212) 239-6200 or at the box office of the Booth Theatre. For more about the show, visit www.TheGlassMenagerieBroadway.com, or find it on Facebook: www.facebook.com/TheGlassMenagerieBwy and Twitter: www.twitter.com/MenagerieBwy.
