DreamWorks Developing Sequel to THE CROODS

THE CROODS will most definitely be back.
Dreamworks annonced today at CinemaCon that a sequel to the recently released animated film is officially in development. Co-writers and directors, Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, have also signed on.
THE CROODS opened in theaters on March 22, where it has since grossed over $143 million. The animated adventure features voice performances by Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.
The film is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world's first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures - and their outlook is changed forever.
