Carey Mulligan will co-star in "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Drama Desk nominee Mulligan will play Michael Douglas's daughter in the film. The actress will appear opposite Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Frank Langella in the sequel to the 1987 film. It's been reported that Josh Brolin is in talks to appear in the movie.

Mulligan's character is romantically linked to LaBeouf's, a young Wall Street broker on his way up, reports THR.

Ed Pressman, Douglas and Eric Kopeloff are producing the film, which uses a script by Allan Loeb.

Mulligan was recently seen on Broadway in THE SEAGULL, appearing alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Peter Sarsgaard. On Broadway, Mulligan reprised her role of Nina, which she played at The Royal Court Theatre. The actress starred in the film version of Pride and Prejudice, opposite Keira Knightley and Judi Dench, and the BBC adaptation of "Bleak House," as well as "Dr. Who," "Waking the Dead" and "The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard". She has appeared in When Did You Last See Your Father?, An Education, Brothers and Public Enemies. "Wall Street 2" will be her first major studio role.
