Disney Junior Marks 9th Consecutive Month with #1 Series in Kids 2-5

For October 2012, "Doc McStuffins" ranked as the #1 cable TV series for the 5th consecutive month in Kids 2-5 (601,000/3.8 rating – tied with "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" in October) and Girls 2-5 (335,000/4.3 rating), while "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" was the #1 series for the 2nd month in a row in Boys 2-5 (275,000/3.4 rating) and the #1 preschool cable TV series in Women 18-49 (369,000/0.6 rating). October marked the 9th month that Disney Junior, the daily block for kids age 2-7 on Disney Channel, delivered the month's #1 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, and its 13th straight month delivering the #1 cable TV series among Women 18-49. Disney Junior also posted all time October-highs in Girls 2-5 (245,000/3.1 rating) and Women 18-49 (292,000/0.5 rating).

An all-new "Doc McStuffins" (Fri, 10/12/12) ranked as the month's #1 TV telecast in Girls 2-5 (525,000/6.7 rating), and was the #1 cable TV telecast in Kids 2-5 (923,000/5.8 rating).

"Doc McStuffins" and "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" were the Top 2 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, while "Jake and the Never Land Pirates (#1), "Doc McStuffins" (#2) and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" (#3T) were the Top 3 cable TV in Boys 2-5 and the Top 3 preschool cable TV series in Women 18-49:

It invites mom and dad to join their child in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, while incorporating specific learning and development themes designed for kids age 2-7. Disney Junior's series blend Disney's unparalleled storytelling and characters kids love deeply with learning, including early math, language skills, healthy eating and lifestyles, and social skills. Disney Junior launched in February 2011 with a daily programming block on Disney Channel. In its first year, Disney Junior posted the network's biggest yearly audience in the daypart in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Boys 2-5 and Women 18-49, increasing by double-digit margins among preschooler demographics over year-ago levels. On March 23, 2012 Disney Junior added a cable and satellite channel in the U.S. Disney Junior India and Disney Junior Japan launched in October 2012, bringing the total number of channels to 32 worldwide.
