As first reported on TVLine.com, Disney Channel star Lili Simmons will be starring in a racy new role in Cinemax's upcoming drama series BANSHEE. The actress joins previously announced cast members Antony Starr, Ivana Milicevic (Charlie’s Angels), Rus Blackwell (Burn Notice) Ulrich Thomsen (The Thing), Matt Servitto (Harry’s Law), Trieste Dunn (Canterbury’s Law), Daniel Ross Owens (The Lying Game, Detroit 1-8-7) and Hoon Lee (Blue Bloods, White Collar).

The 10-episode drama series is from True Blood's Alan Ball and former House executive producer Greg Yaitanes. The project is penned by authors Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, and follows the story of Lucas described as "an ex-convict and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Penn, and continues to carry out his criminal activities even as shadowy gangsters hunt him." Simmons will portray Rebecca Bowman, described as "a local Amish girl in her early 20s who lives a devout life by day but is a rebellious, sexually adventurous party girl by night."

Simmons TV credits include Geek Charming and Zeke and Luther.
