According to Deadline, Broadway vet Colin Donnell has signed on for NBC's upcoming CHICAGO MED as a series regular. He joins Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Laurie Holden, Nick Gehlfuss and Yaya Dacosta in the CHICAGO FIRE spinoff.

Executive producer Dick Wolf delivers the newest installment of the compelling "Chicago" franchise, an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city's most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. They will tackle unique new cases inspired by topical events, forging fiery relationships in the pulse-pounding pandemonium of the emergency room, and through it all, familiar faces from the Chicago police and fire departments will intertwine as this third team of Chicago heroes hits the ground running.

Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Danielle Gelber, Peter Jankowski, Michael Brandt and Derek Haas executive produce. "Chicago Med" is produced by Universal Television and Wolf Films.

Donnell starred on Broadway in Violet, Anything Goes (Drama Desk nomination), and Jersey Boys, and in the national tours of Wicked and Mamma Mia! His Off-Broadway credits include Love's Labour's Lost (Shakespeare in the Park), Meet Me in St. Louis, and Almost Heaven: The Songs of John Denver. Television work includes recurring roles on "The Affair" and "Pam Am," as well as a series regular on "Arrow." He appeared in Merrily We Roll Along and Follies at Encores!
