48 HOURS: "Wounded by Love" delivered 4.54m viewers, with a 1.2/03 in adults 25-54 and a 0.8/02 in adults 18-49.

Saturday's broadcast featured Troy Roberts and 48 HOURS' investigation into the death of Phillip Peatross and what happened in the bedroom of his girlfriend, Caryn Kelley. Kelley said she was surprised by an intruder in her home. She grabbed her gun. The man in her home was her boyfriend. Moments later, he was dead. She claimed there was a struggle for her gun and the gun accidently fired. Moments before, she said Peatross told her he didn't want to live without her.

The case involved broken hearts, bombshell secrets and hinged on a controversial cell phone video shot by police moments after the death of Peatross. Police, initially leery of Kelley's story, faced sorting out three scenarios - either Peatross' death was an accident, suicide or murder.

Kelley was eventually arrested and charged with Peatross' murder. She stood trial in May 2013 and was found not guilty of manslaughter.

48 HOURS: "Wounded by Love" is produced by Paul LaRosa, Michelle Feuer and Alicia Tejada. Grayce Arlotta-Berner, Maria Barrow and Kevin Dean are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
