CBS News Correspondent Steve Hartman goes "On the Road" to meet a teenager who "hatched" a rescue plan to save her family. The report will be broadcast tonight, Jan. 25 on the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

In tonight's report, Hartman speaks with 13-year-old Shelby Grebenc of Denver who may be the youngest egg farmer in America. With her family facing mounting medical bills because of her mother's battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Grebenc convinced her grandmother to loan her the money to buy more than 100 chickens. She built her own business and was able to stave off bankruptcy and keep the family together by selling eggs.

"I think we would have been homeless," Shelby's father, Jonmichael, tells Hartman. "We would have lost it."

Patricia Shevlin is the Executive Producer of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY.
