Brian Sullivan Promoted to Fox Networks Group President

Fox Networks Group has named Brian Sullivan as the New Group President and Chief Operating Officer, as reported by Deadline. The role was previously occupied by Randy Freer, who left in October to take up the CEO position at Hulu.

Sullivan was formerly the CEO of Sky Deutschland. Before his promotion, he held the position of President and COO of FOX Networks' Digital Consumer Group since 2015. Sullivan will now report to President of 21st Century FOX and CEO and Chairman of FNG Peter Rice. In turn, FNG Distribution President Michael Biard and Ad Revenue President Joe Marchese will now report to Sullivan.

The duties of his new role include directly overseeing revenue and distribution for FOX Televison Group, FX, Fox Sports and National Geographic Partnerships and leading the Digital Consumer Group who oversees the company's streaming applications. Sullivan will also serve as a Hulu board member.

Rice released this statement to announce Sullivan's new role.

"Brian is an incredibly talented executive and has been instrumental in leading the direct to consumer efforts across our brands. Brian's track record at Sky and his proven expertise in building digital video consumer products has made him an invaluable part of our senior leadership team, and I look forward to working with him to continue to focus and operationalize our revenue, distribution and D2C efforts," he said.
