Billy Campbell to Star in Nat'l Geographic's KILLING LINCOLN

Deadline reports that Billy Campbell will take on the role of one of America's most revered presidents, Abraham Lincoln, in National Geographic Channel's upcoming adaptation of the best-selling book KILLING LINCOLN.  

The actor, who currently stars in AMC’s The Killing, will take on the lead role in the two-hour semi documentary drama based on the book Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Change America Forever by authors Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. The novel takes a detailed look into the assassination of the president and documents the conspiracy behind one of the most infamous murders in U.S. history. Shooting is set to begin next month.

Campbell's TV roles include Rick Sammler on Once and Again, Det. Joey Indelli on Crime Story,  Jordan Collier on The 4400, and  Dr. Jon Fielding on the Tales of the City Miniseries. He is also known for his recurring role as Luke Fuller in Dynasty. which was his first prominent role. His films include The Rocketeer, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Enough. He is currently a series regular on the AMC television series The Killing portraying the role of Darren Richmond.
