Hey all you YOUNGER fans!! Excited to see how Liza's new identity stayed hidden this week? Did she drop any huge hints that might give away her age? Any more #ToplessTuesday photos drop this episode? (Or did the girls start a new trend?) Did Trout Pout ease up on the 'tude she gave her last week? And what about Kelsey's mission to book that Swedish author? For all this and more, read on!!

When we open, Liza receives a text from Josh. She texts back "OKAY," but deletes it before sending, continually rethinking and shortening her response to fit her 26-year-old persona. Really awesome, clever, and subtle way to show her continual struggle to adjust to the young adult world. Though, she's clearly progressing and gaining confidence in her new "age" - with a smirky smile, she knows immediately "OKAY" will not fly and "K" (with an emoticon) is totally the way to go.

And speaking of adjusting to the young adult world, Liza's freaking out over having sex with Josh.

Maggie tells her to loosen up and relax about the whole thing, and of course, it's NBD because that's what we'd expect from Maggie - but it's not so much that she tells Liza to relax as much as it is what she suggests Liza do to relax.

Meanwhile, Liza travels to her now-sold house in New Jersey to collect all her furniture so she can sell it off... but when she arrives she finds out ex-husband David has foiled her once again (and for what seems like the last time) and beat her to it. It's nice the way this scene is paralleled with her beginning a new relationship. Out with the old and in with the new. It uses material objects within the storyline of the series as a metaphor to signify that Liza's creating a new life, and leaving the old one behind. This idea is reiterated at the end of the episode, wherein Liza successfully gets her furniture back, but can't get a bite on it in New Jersey, so Maggie suggests they sell it a Brooklyn flea market, where they sell out by the end of the day.

Things aren't working in New Jersey, so it's time to reinvent and reinvigorate in Brooklyn. The furniture in this episode is a metaphor for Liza in the rest of the season going forward. It's brilliantly written and I totally get it! Well done!

At work, Diana receives a trendy and hip new bag and feeling refreshed and re-energized with the accessory, asks Liza to help her spruce up her dating profile, taking pictures with said purse. Honestly, kinda weird for a boss to ask that of an employee, especially one as b*tchy to employees as Trout Pout, but whatever. At least she's seeing Liza as helpful for a change, playing to Liza's strengths. And it's an interesting dynamic between the two of them here, as the younger girl helps the older woman, but the "younger" girl is really the older woman.

I think Liza's guise works best when she's with Diana, because they do share that age bond - although, of course, Diana doesn't know it and Liza has to hide it. It really adds a special layer to their relationship, as Liza - though, again, she can't show it - knows exactly how her boss feels, and can relate. It's that MRS. DOUBTFIRE pairing that just produces chills. (I mean, come on! Didn't you have the shakes when Diana tells Liza, "You're 26 years old. You have no idea what it's like out there for a woman my age"?!) Eep! And then in the end, it turns out the guy she thought she could snag -- a hot Columbia University professor -- is, in fact, only just a kid, and more into the bag than Diana. So, Diana's left feeling like she's too old to nab a guy. Definitely sounds like something that could bring This sounds like it will bring her and Liza closer together. We'll see...

Kelsey's plot continues directly from where we left off last week. She's desperate to nab the Swedish author, but he's signed with a different agent. Hoping to change his mind and bolster her chances of landing him, Kelsey attends one of his readings. The snag? She arrives to find out the reading's in Swedish. Oops. But, for better or worse, it doesn't stop her. She creatively Bings (That's a Bing count of one per episode!) her way into talking with him; he asks her out for a drink, and bing (ha!), bang, boom, he's signed. And yes, we can totally feel the sexual tension between the two of them - and they can too - but any chance of them getting together tonight is squashed when they each receive a text; she from Thad, he from (wait for it) his wife! Well played, Darren Starr... and perfectly teased. Still, the tension is still there, and we've got nine episodes left, so we'll undoubtedly see this pair tested in the professional workplace and the personal... um... bedroom.

Liza's out on the date with Josh, and though they're consistently bombarded by Josh's tattoo clients, asking them to "do him now" - nice double entrende there, Starr, and way to play with Liza's head! - Josh admits he wants nothing else than to be with her. And yes, he means "be with her" in the way you think he means it. As he tears off his shirt, we see Liza's clearly uncomfortable, and so to cope, she heads to the bathroom and pops one of Maggie's Xanax. Yeah... this ain't gonna go well.

After passing out on the floor and hence, completely ruining any chance of sex with Josh for the night; a subsequent kinda-weird-but-you-can't-help-but-laugh-'cause-it's-also-hilarious pep talk from Maggie to her parts; and another steamy text from her "boyfriend," Liza determines (yet again) that she's in over her head and must come clean with Josh. But when she arrives at his door, we see he's got something else in mind. Bow chica wow wow.

And so the secret remains just that for another week. Until next time... stay YOUNGER. (What do y'all think of this tagline? Keep it? Not?) :p See you all next week!
