Arc Entertainment has acquired all US rights to the crime thriller PHANTOM HALO. Making her theatrical directing debut, Antonia Bogdanovich also co-wrote the film with Anne Heffron. PHANTOM HALO stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster (THE MAZE RUNNER, MAZE RUNNER: The Scorch Trials), Rebecca Romijn (X-MEN), Luke Kleintank (DARK HOUSE), Sebastian Roché (A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES), Tobin Bell (SAW II), and Clare Grant (WALK THE LINE). Arc Entertainment will be releasing the film on VOD and in theaters on June 19, 2015. The deal was announced today by ARC Entertainment's Head of Acquisitions, Scott Moesta.
"PHANTOM HALO is an extremely well written and directed film with strong performances by the entire cast," said Moesta. "We're thrilled to have the opportunity to expose this gripping film theatrically and throughout the various channels here in the US and Canada." PHANTOM HALO tells the story of brothers Samuel (Brodie-Sangster) and Beckett (Kleintank) Emerson who are barely scraping by. Their father, Warren (Roché), continues to gamble and drink away any money they bring home. With all the havoc that is constantly going on in their lives, THE FAMILY members each find solace in his own way, through Shakespeare, comic books and impossible love affairs. Beckett seizes the opportunity to make some easy money by counterfeiting in hopes of repaying his father's debts. When Beckett's plan goes awry, THE FAMILY must decide to change their ways or pay the ultimate price.
