HBO's 'True Blood' star Anna Paquin sizzles things up on TV each week in the sexy vampire series -- there is typically a fair share of nudity in nearly every episode -- but it wasn't R-rated screen time that got Paquin in the gossip columns this week, rather a public admittance that the actress is bisexual that caused quite a buzz on the Internet and crashed a website.

Paquin helped singer Cyndi Lauper launch a gay rights campaign for the True Colors Fund Thursday by appearing in a service announcement and looking into the camera to say, "I'm Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual, and I give a damn."

With word of the video being posted on wegiveadamn.org, Internet users flocked to the site in order to watch Paquin reveal her sexual preference, but the web servers couldn't handle such a spike, so it crashed.

The Huffington Post reports that wegiveadamn.org claimed to be "overwhelmed" following a spike in "enormous traffic" on Friday.

Most likely buried beneath the "I'm bisexual" comment from Paquin was the serious message that "one hate crime is committed approximately every hour of every day" in the United States." That's the real motivation behind the video campaign.

Jason Mraz, Whoopi Goldberg, Lauper, Clay Aiken, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Kardashian, Elton John and Wanda Sykes were some of the other notable celebrities joining in on the service announcement.
