At The Hague summit on Friday, Queen Elizabeth dubbed Angelina Jolie an honorary dame for her humanitarian work. Jolie has spent most of her adult life helping those less fortunate and has served as a special envoy for the United Nations for many years. According NY Daily News, she received this honor her work combating sexual violence in war zones.
Jolie said, "To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to." She is so in love with humanitarian work that she has even hinted at giving up her film career.

Jolie helped host the four-day long summit and afterwards commented, "I believe that one of the outcomes of this summit is that [the subject of rape as a weapon] is now firmly on the top table of international diplomacy. And we will work to ensure that it stays there."
Secretary of State John Kerry added that it was time to "banish sexual violence to the dark ages and the history books."
