Amanda Peet Joins Cast of THE GOOD WIFE

TVLine.com reports that Amanda Peet has joined the cast of the CBS drama THE GOOD WIFE in a recurring role. The actress will join the series for its fourth season this fall.  

Peet will portray a client of the fictional law firm Lockhart & Gardner. Her character is decribed as "a military lawyer who sues a contract worker for an attempted sexual assault. After trying to pursue the case pro se, she hires Alicia as her lawyer and the two become confidants and then friends."

The actress will join a host of celebrity guest stars on the show's upcoming season including Maura Tierney, Nathan Lane and Kristin Chenoweth

Peet has appeared in a variety of films, including the 2003 psychological horror 'Identity', the 2005 action-thriller 'Syriana' and the 2006 comedy-drama 'Griffin & Phoenix'. She has also appeared on TV in 'Jack & Jill', Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Bent.

She appeared in the off-Broadway revival of Clifford Odets's 'Awake and Sing' in 1984. In February 2006, she performed in Neil Simon's Broadway production of 'Barefoot in the Park'.
