Alicia Keys & Jay-Z Join Starry Roster for ABC's 'American Music Awards' 11/22

Dick Clark productions President Orly Adelson announced today that Jay-Z will perform at the 2009 American Music Awards. This marks Jay-Z's second time performing on the American Music Awards.

He has been nominated in the Rap/Hip-Hop category six times, including this year's nominations for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album. Jay-Z will join the previously announced Alicia Keys in a special collaborative act. They join an already outstanding lineup of artists announced at this week's AMA nominations press conference including The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

"We are thrilled to have Jay-Z and Alicia Keys on stage together for the 2009 American Music Awards," said AMA producer Larry Klein. "Both are such talented artists, it's sure to be a memorable performance."

The show will be broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOV. 22 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC. This year's AMA tickets and VIP ticket packages are now on sale (please visit www.ticketmaster.com or call 1-877-AEG-TICKETS). Artists will be honored in The categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational.
