AMC is set to add to its signature lineup of period pieces with the upcoming Colonial comedy, WE HATE PAUL REVERE. Deadline first reported the news late this afternoon.

The offbeat premise comes from writers/actors Ethan Sandler and AdrIan Wenner, the men behind WHITNEY. The show will reportedly follow two Bostonian brothers who loathe local revolutionary Paul Revere.

Sandler and Wenner are best known for their work on WHITNEY, and their award-winning play THE EPITAPH.
