On average from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC's repeat comedies ("Fresh Off the Boat"/"black-ish") beat Fox's first-run "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3 vs. 0.7/3).
From 9:00-11:00 p.m., ABC's "Extreme Weight Loss" held steady with its week-ago season premiere in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3 vs. 0.9/3). The ABC unscripted series jumped in viewers (+29%) and young adults (+29%) from its first hour to its second hour, tying for 2nd place from 10:00-11:00 p.m. in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 - tied w/CBS' "48 Hours"). A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers.
