ABC Wins Monday With THE BACHELORETTE As No. 1 Show and a Solid Debut for THE PROPOSAL

ABC Monday Prime Time (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.1 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49):

Featuring "The Bachelorette" and the debut of "The Proposal," ABC won Monday in Total Viewers (4.7 million) and led the night for the 2nd week in a row with Adults 18-49 (1.2/5), hitting summer highs on the evening.

From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelorette" once again ranked as Monday's No. 1 TV show in Total Viewers (5.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/6), posting its 4th consecutive week as the top series with young adults. "The Bachelorette" built 4% week to week in Total Viewers and held even with Adults 18-49.

In the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "The Proposal" opened well ahead of the year-ago debut of "Still Star Crossed" in the hour airing out of "The Bachelorette" (on 5/29/17), lifting the time period by 65% in Total Viewers (3.8 million vs. 2.0 million) and by 60% in Adults 18-49 (0.8/3 vs. 0.5/2). In fact, it was ABC's top summer debut in the hour in 3 years - since 6/1/15 with "The Whispers." The new ABC series ran a strong 2nd in the slot with Adults 18-49 to the time-period premiere of "American Ninja Warrior" and won the hour by 40% over the NBC unscripted series with Adults 18-34 (0.7/4 vs. 0.5/3).
