ABC Cancels ROSEANNE Following Racist Tweet

ABC's ROSEANNE has been cancelled after a handful of insensitive tweets from the show's star ROSEANNE Barr.

ABC's president Channing Dungey recently released the following statement: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show."

The series stars ROSEANNE Barr as ROSEANNE Conner, John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamara as Mark Conner-Healy and Jayden Rey as Mary Conner.

"Roseanne Gets the Chair" was written by Sid Youngers and directed by John Pasquin.

Roseanne Barr is an executive producer, along with Sara Gilbert, Tom Werner, Bruce Helford, Whitney Cummings and Tony Hernandez. The series is from Carsey-Werner Television.

"Roseanne" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG, DL parental guideline.
