The 38th annual Telly Awards has named A FISHING STORY with Ronnie Green as winner of 8 Telly Awards for Television Sports Programming, Cinematography, and Musical Crafting. With over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor. "The Telly Awards mission is to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. "A Fishing Story's accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of television programming, advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Telly and a member of The Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work.

About A Fishing Story "A Fishing Story" is a fishing show that explores the lives of people who have had tremendous life experiences. Entertainers, professional athletes, veterans, and everyday people alike share real life experiences with host Ronnie Green. The national TV show examines challenges and triumphs of men and women, while challenging their outlook on life. "We're honored and humbled by the recognition. onnie Green is the host of A Fishing Story and a former Marine Officer. He was very successful in the medical device industry for many years as a sales manager. He honed his skills as an angler with his great-grandmother who was an avid fisherwoman. She always told him family stories while fishing and he's been consumed with fishing stories ever since. He currently airs on Destination America on Sundays at 8:30am and will air on the Discovery Channel in 2018.
