Chasing Dick: A Love Story follows a trans woman as she navigates complex relationships with a cisgender father and son who both fall in love with her. Directed by James Lau and co-directed by lead actress Dax Carnay-Hanrahan, the play draws on personal experiences to tackle themes of love, gender identity, and family dynamics. Despite her recent diagnosis of Bell's Palsy, Carnay-Hanrahan remains committed to the production, underscoring the importance of the story. The play will premiere with a staged reading at FAQT in Ballarat on August 25, followed by a full performance in October as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
