New York's Rock and Roots radio station WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) is releasing FUV Live 15, the latest collection of exclusive, live performances from its own Studio A, in time for its fall membership drive, which begins on September 27. The 20-track CD includes performances from a broad range artists – veterans like Bonnie Raitt and Ryan Adams, indie favorites such as Blitzen Trapper, Feist, and The Shins, and hot newcomers like Gary Clark Jr., Dawes, and Alabama Shakes. Audio samples can be heard at wfuv.org.

"There's something about Studio A that brings out the best in artists who visit WFUV," said WFUV music director Rita Houston, who produced the CD. "Maybe it's the vibe here, or our DJ's, or the quality of our equipment, or the competence of our engineers (many of whom are Fordham students). I know a lot of it comes from respect for the WFUV audience. Musicians know they are knowledgeable music fans with high standards."

FUV Live 15 will be available with contributions of $100 or more during WFUV's fall membership drive. Since many people use WFUV as the soundtrack to their day, every weekday hour during the drive WFUV DJs will be spotlighting great movie soundtracks, from classics like Casablanca and The Graduate to more recent favorites like High Fidelity and Once.

WFUV is also releasing Live from The Alternate Side, Volume 2, a new collection of performances for the station's indie music service, which will be available during The Alternate Side's on-air fundraiser starting on September 27. Artists on the 9-song EP include Beirut, Beach House, and The Tallest Man on Earth.
