Vista Kicks Release 'Twenty Something Nightmare' Album Today

VISTA KICKS, the Los Angeles-based indie rock 'n roll band with intoxicating melodies and musicality to match, have released their sophomore full-length album, TWENTY SOMETHING NIGHTMARE, today, Friday the 13th, via their own Little Hook Records. Listen to the 18-track album now via all DSPs including Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music. Click here to watch the music video for the album's latest single "Live, You're Gonna Die," directed byDimitri Voytilla and shot along the California coast.

After years of touring, building their performance chops in bar rooms and on club stages across the country, honing their songwriting craft and polishing their recording dexterity in the studio, the band has been progressively hitting milestones--all while being a completely independent group. In the streaming world, VISTA KICKS has garnered over 86,000 monthly Spotify listeners(and over 10 million cumulative streams on Spotify alone). On the live front, they sold-out The Troubadour in their Los Angeles hometown on Valentine's Day earlier this year and have now moved up to headline The El Rey Theatreon September 20, with special guest Audra Mae, in the city (tickets here). Additionally, VISTA KICKS will appear at KAABOO Del Mar Festival this September.

For TWENTY SOMETHING NIGHTMARE, co-produced by the quartet--DerekThomas (vocals), Sam Plecker (guitar/vocals), Trevor Sutton (bass), andNolan Le Vine (drums)--VISTA KICKS once again amplifies the scope of their signature style as they maintain the edge that made them, "The Originators of Booty Shaking Rock N' Roll," proving to be a seamless follow-up to 2017's well-received Booty Shakers Ball album.

About VISTA KICKS:

Living together in a cramped one-bedroom apartment, the quartet--Derek Thomas (vocals), Sam Plecker (guitar/vocals), Trevor Sutton (bass), andNolan Le Vine (drums)--quietly ignited a buzz throughout L.A. and beyond with two full U.S. tours under their belts. Within a year, the band's independent2016 Chasing Waves EP and additional singles generated over 5 million cumulative Spotify streams and 3.2 million YouTube views. However, everything set the stage for the release of their 2017 full-length debut, BOOTY SHAKERS BALL--self-produced by the musicians themselves and engineered by their guitar player and vocalist Sam Plecker. Best described as a smoked-out collaboration between James Brown and Jimmy Page, it bridges eras.
