MusicaNova Orchestra's third season of Young Artists Concerts continues with violist Ryan Grieser and pianist Jessica Zhang taking the stage Saturday, October 29, 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the Arizona Piano Company, 4134 East Wood Street, Suite 200, Phoenix 85040. Tickets are available at the MusicaNova website and at the door, $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students. Youth under 18 are free with a paid admission.

The Young Artists Series presents extraordinarily talented solo artists under 18 in a formal recital format. Previous series performers are now studying at prestigious conservatories nationwide, including Juilliard, Peabody, Colburn, and Oberlin. Former Phoenix Youth Symphony and current Arizona Opera conduction Keitaro Harada said, "What your organization is doing to provide performance opportunities for young musicians is just fantastic."

Violist Ryan Grieser, 17, a student at Desert Vista High School in Ahwatukee, earned two solo performances in Carnegie Hall with his prize-winning work at American Protégé International competitions. In addition to many other successful competitions and masterclasses, and serving as principal violist with several youth orchestras, Ryan won the Youth Symphony of the Southwest concerto competition and will be soloing with that orchestra later this year.

Pianist Jessica Zhang, 14, a freshman at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, returns to the MusicaNova Young Artists stage continuing a successful year in which she won first place in both the Steinway Avanti Future Stars and Phoenix Youth Symphony Young Musicians piano competitions. Jessica will appear with the MusicaNova Chamber Orchestra in February, 2017 playing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9, "Jeunehomme."
