Tony Russo, the celebrated jazz singer and crooning entertainer known for his unique sound and earnest style, has released a new compilation album entitled Tony Sings The Great American Classics. The album was released through Tate Music Group on July 25, 2013.

Tony Sings The Great American Classics exhibits a heartfelt rendition of American popular music, circa the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Russo captures the heart and soul of joyful tunes, the deep emotion of love songs and the invigorating tempo of upbeat dedications. Pitching more than a just a gifted voice, Russo creates a listening experience with personal touches to familiar melodies and a personality within his voice that speaks directly to each listener.

The ten-track album features a montage of classic ballads including, Fly Me to the Moon and The Summer Wind, performed with timeless style. Russo, who mentored and sang alongside the renowned Frankie Laine for many years, has been a lifelong performer who continues to exude the style and grace that was the signature mark of many prominent 1950's entertainers.

"I've been in show business all my life," says Russo. "It is my life. Music is a passion of mine that has stuck with me through out my life."

After his video performance of The Summer Wind for America's Got Talent in 2010, which exploded with over 150,000 views overnight, Russo garnered a number of followers and a large fan base through several other videos of his singing on YouTube. After reaching another 40,000 views with his video rendition of The Shadow of Your Smile, Russo was approached by Tate Music Group to record a compilation of great American classics. Russo agreed and the ten-track feature album was recorded.

Tony Sings The Great American Classics is available for purchase through the Tate Publishing Store, Amazon and iTunes, as well as through a number of other direct download music stores worldwide. Russo's newly launched album is also featured on Spotify, for instant streaming to registered users.
