The Shelters Release Digital Singles of Beloved Covers

Breakout Los Angeles based rock band The Shelters release two of their favorite cover songs: "Really Wanted You," which was written and originally performed by Emitt Rhodes, and "So Get Out," originally performed by The Surfaris. Additionally, the group will perform their Alternative charting single "Rebel Heart" as well as "Liar" on "Last Call with Carson Daly" this Monday, December 4. The band will also be featured on Los Angeles' KCSN on Saturday December 2. Listen to their performance at9:30a.m. PST here: 885fm.org.
In addition, the band will conclude a year of extensive touring with headlining tour dates atSan Diego's The Casbah and Los Angeles' The Echo on December 1 and December 5respectively.
The band's self-titled debut album-out now via Warner Bros. Records and co-produced by their musical hero Tom Petty-has received critical praise. Billboard calls it, "Jangly, buoyant, foot-tapping...blending classic influences with modern swagger" and Paste proclaims, "The band's sound successfully marries elements of '70s and '80s rock and roll with a modern flair."
All songs on The Shelters are written by band members Chase Simpson (vocals, guitar) andJosh Jove (vocals, guitar).
