The Manhattan Transfer to Perform at Van Wezel, 3/18

Vocal Group Hall of Fame inductees, and 10-time Grammy winners The Manhattan Transfer come to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 8pm.

Tim Hauser founded the first Manhattan Transfer group in New York City in 1969, and released the album Jukin' for Capitol Records, the group dispersed due to creative differences. Hauser founded the current Manhattan Transfer group in 1972. Over the years The Manhattan Transfer has become one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful vocal groups of all time singing hits such as "Tuxedo Junction," "Operator", "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone," and "The Boy From New York City". Their album Vocalese earned a monumental 12 Grammy nominations. The Manhattan Transfer's A Cappella meets Jazz Fusion approach has created a huge following worldwide.
