The Ridgefield Playhouse has announced its upcoming music acts, now through July 2013. Details below!

The Devil Makes Three
Wednesday, April 17 at 8:30pm
with special guest Jonny Fritz

With a slightly punky perspective on vintage American blues, The Devil Makes Three is a breath of fresh musical air. Laced with elements of ragtime, country, folk and rockabilly, the critically praised, drummer-less trio - consisting of guitarist/frontman Pete Bernhard, stand-up bassist Lucia Turino and guitarist Cooper McBean - brings forth a genuine approach to acoustic music that is deeply steeped in rhythm.

Tickets: pre-ordered: $17.50 at the door: $20.00.

Average White Band
Thursday, April 25 at 8pm
109 Cheese & Wine Evening of Art, Wine and Jazz

Join us in the lobby at 7:15pm for a complimentary wine and cheese tasting and artist reception with and art work by Chaz Well's Artistry

Their infectiously danceable, funky soul based on the sounds of Memphis, Motown and Philadelphia have made Average White Band (AWB) one of the bestselling soul and funk bands in the history of music. The Scottish group stormed onto the US charts in 1974 with the million selling #1 album, Average White Band (The White Album), including the #1 single 'Pick Up the Pieces' - that single remains one of the most widely recognized funk grooves today, frequently covered by hip-hop artists and featured on television. The group's follow-up album Cut the Cake proved just as successful, with the title track hitting #1, while their 1975 album, Person to Person, remains among the bestselling live funk albums ever. With multiple Grammy wins and Platinum selling hits, AWB continues to record and tour, laying down their hip R&B grooves on sellout audiences worldwide.

Tickets: $40.00.

Keller Williams
Thursday, May 2 at 8pm

Since he first appeared on the scene in the early '90s, Keller Williams has defined the term "independent artist." Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances, no two of which are ever alike. Williams' solo live shows, and his ability to improvise to his determinedly quirky tunes despite the absence of an actual band, quickly became the stuff of legend, and his audience grew exponentially. Today when he performs as a one-man band he sings his compositions and cover songs accompanied by an acoustic guitar connected to a delay system that allows him to simulate a full band. Keller is a singer, songwriter and musician, always on a quest for the new and has never followed the prescribed path laid out by the conventional music business.

Ticket Price: $37.50.
