THE RUNNERS First Original Dance Floor Production 'We Will Stand' Out Today

THE RUNNERS, known for their pop and hip-hop smashes for the likes of Rihanna and Rick Ross (see their bio below for a refresher)--are now taking a new direction into the dance world. The Miami-based production duo of Dru Brett and Mayne Zane are stepping out with their first original dance floor production 'We Will Stand,'available today (October 8) at iTunes following its debut last night on SIRIUS XM's Beta BPM show hosted by Kramer.

THE RUNNERS team with NYC producer Alec Maire for this beautiful burner of a big floor house track. It features vocals by Frederick with lyrics penned by Jenson Vaughn, who wrote Armin Van Buuren's cross-over smash 'This Is What It Feels Like.'

Earlier in 2014, THE RUNNERS introduced their new style with 'Smack,' their modern-day interpretation of The Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up,' which they created specifically for UFC star Travis Browne's walk out, followed by a remix of Armand Van Helden's 'Witch Doctor.'

Given their track record as bona fide pop and hip-hop hitmakers, the celebrated production duo of Dru Brett and Mayne Zayne stand poised to ignite a shift in the clubs and beyond, bringing their intoxicating flavor to the game. Lifetime friends, Dru & Mayne began collaborating on tunes in 2000. They got the entire industry talking in 2006 after producing the quintuple-platinum smash, 'Hustlin' for Rick Ross. Soon, everybody from Lil Wayne and Chris Brown to Usher and Mariah Carey sought them out. They garnered a nomination for 'Producer of the Year' at the 2008 BET Awards and even crafted music for television programs such as 'America's Most Wanted.' Other high-profile credits include Rihanna's multi-platinum singles 'Cheers (Drink to That)' and 'California King Bed' as well as Cher Lloyd's 'Swagger Jagger.' The boys even received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of 'Album of the Year' for their work on Rihanna's Loud. However, they began to find inspiration from a different fountain altogether in 2011, partially influenced by Swedish House Mafia's One and the scene bubbling around it.

Incorporating their innate knack for a smash with fresh eyes on the scene, THE RUNNERS began fine-tuning their own sound. As a result, they channeled somethingslick, sexy, and soaring that's perfect for getting bodies moving from Miami to Madrid.
