Singer-Songwriter Sooraj Releases Debut Album, Here We Go

Moving out of his home country to the busy hustle of Hollywood to study music wasn't an easy decision for Sooraj. But he did it anyway, because he had bigger things in mind - such as releasing a full-length album recorded in the heart of Hollywood.

After the success of his two music videos - "Nemesis" and "City Beat" on YouTube, Sooraj has finally come out with an 11-song album titled "Here We Go," which contains songs of multiple genres, yet retains his signature pop-rock sound.

When asked about the concept behind the album, Sooraj said, "The idea behind the album was basically write, write, write and get better at it! It's a culmination of five years' worth of writing and playing and my journey through music. I called it "Here We Go," because it's my debut album, a launchpad of sorts for my music - plus I say that phrase quite a lot!"

The album features Sooraj's fellow musicians from Musicians' Institute - Igor Kirillov on bass, Kruttika Sequeira on keys, Kazuki Tokaji on guitars and Phung Dang on drums, and has been mixed and mastered by Navneet Rao, also an MI alum and accomplished musician from India.
