SUM Ignites Self-Empowerment In New Music Video 'It's Alright To Be Me'

NYC-based group SUM is uplifting spirits all across the world with their individual blend of Soul, Jazz, and Pop. The have an essence of groove that transcends their music beyond just their sound. SUM sticks to a message of positivity that has been brought to audiences with the recent release of their single, "It's Alright To Be Me", and the music video which was exclusively premiered on GroundSounds. The music video further ignites the importance of their message of empowerment, continually urging their listeners to love and accept themselves for who they are, especially as artists.

Recently, in an interview with VENTS Magazine, Steve indulged on the inspiration for the single "It's Alright to Be Me": "When we played shows, people kept messing up the name of our band and we always had to explain the meaning. So I decided to write a song that hopefully will become a hit so that we don't have to explain ourselves anymore." The lyrics explain the meaning of the word sum, latin for for "I" or "To Be", all the while defining the band and their philosophy through the pleasing sounds of Jazz, Soul, and Pop.
