The Pink Light Burlesque Program was created by The New York School of Burlesque to offer free classes to breast cancer patients and survivors in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Now those students are preparing to bring what they've learned to the stage.The show will feature survivors and instructors from the program performing, as well as multimedia presentations of other survivors and their experiences revealing themselves through with burlesque. It will be dedicated to Diane Naegel, a member of the performing arts community who was preparing to take part in the Pink Light Program before she passed from complications related to breast cancer on September 25th. However, many of the 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States have experienced difficulty adjusting to post-cancer life.
