For the first time ever, Hudson's Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue kicked off the holiday season with an incredible window unveiling event on Thursday, November 3, 2016. The event in partnership with Mastercard took place at the shared entrance to Hudson's Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue at CF Toronto Eaton Centre on Queen Street and was a celebration for the city of Toronto complete with lights, fireworks and a very special musical performance by singer Mariah Carey. Scroll down for photos!

Mariah Carey performed two of her Holiday hits, outside of the stores on Queen Street, before the windows were unveiled to the city of Toronto.

Hudson's Bay's iconic holiday windows invite customers into an Enchanted Forest with five distinct windows along Queen Street. The five windows flanking Queen Street portray scenes of a winter wonderland filled with 34 hand-sculpted spirited holiday animals. Over 350 square feet of LED walls enhance each vignette. The flagship's façade features mixed garland, foliage, twinkling lights and cheerful holiday music, completing the magical display.

The five animated scenes feature:

- Bunnies ice-skating on a forest pond, while squirrels above play
- Mice frolicking merrily atop a bear that's covered in snow
- Mother owl perched on her treetop nest, protecting her new-born babies
- Peaceful foxes slumbering underground, while dancing raccoons try to wake them
- A gaggle of geese wrapped in a wreath, snow-shoeing through the forest

Saks Fifth Avenue's holiday windows transport viewers to a Land of 1000 Delights, an enchanting landscape of colorful candy and festive fashion. The windows display scenes set in fantasy music boxes, containing hand-painTEd Mannequins twirling atop wind-up pedestals. Each of the nine mannequins wears a one-of-a-kind handmade costume featuring a confectionary hoop skirt made of giant candy canes, gingerbread men, cakes and icing, or hundreds of hard candies, among others. Whimsical hair, hats, and shoes complete each look. The music boxes are highlighted by panels of curved colored mirrors and hanging strands of fruit candy and cupcakes.
