Peter Noone achieved international fame as Herman, lead singer of the legendary '60s pop band Herman's Hermits. The generation of fans that grew up with Herman's Hermits have committed the lyrics of his classic hits to memory, songs such as "I'm Into Something Good", "Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Daughter", "I'm Henry VIII, I Am", "Silhouettes", "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "Just A Little Bit Better", "Wonderful World", "There's A Kind of Hush", "A Must To Avoid", "Listen People", "The End of the World" and "Dandy". Ultimately, Herman's Hermits sold more than 60 million recordings with 14 singles and seven albums achieving Gold status. On Thursday, February 5, at 8 p.m., Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone will be in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Special guest is singer/songwriter Larry Stevens, whose second CD, Downstairs at Mayo's, blends rock and pop with a twist of country. Aranci 67 (7 Main St., Redding/Georgetown, CT) will pour a complimentary glass of house wine with dinner the night of this show when tickets are presented. An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person), which includes a cocktail party from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d'oeuvre and priority parking, is available for this show by calling the box office (203-438-5795). This event is part of the Xfinity Rock Series with media sponsor B107.3fm.

"A consummate showman, Noone believes wholeheartedly in giving the people what they want in concert: the golden oldies", explains Globe correspondent Joan Anderman. In fact, Peter Noone is said to be one heck of an entertainer who connects with the audience and makes them part of the performance. He also is known to get the audience singing along to their favorites. Herman's Hermits features some of the finest guitarists and drummers touring today.

For tickets ($65), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
