OMG GIRLZ Receive 'Outstanding New Artist' NAACP Image Award Nomination

R&B girl group, The OMG Girlz (Pretty Hustle/Grand Hustle/Streamline/Interscope) have been nominated for Outstanding New Artist at the 44th NAACP Image Awards. The awards are set to be held in Beverly Hills, CA and will air on February 1, 2012 (8 ET/PT) on NBC.

The announcement serves as the perfect ending to a rousing year for the Atlanta based trio. Known by their stage names-Star, Beauty, and Baby Doll-the ladies of OMG (Officially Miss Guided) have rapidly been taking the music world by storm, bringing with them a legion of teen fans. Since the debut of their single, "Gucci This (Gucci That)" in 2011, OMG has completed two major tours (Scream Tour, Scream Tour: Next Generation Part 2), released the hit song "Where the Boys At?," and have made several television appearances (including a performance on the 2012 BET Awards' preshow).

Keeping the ball rolling, The OMG Girlz virally released the holiday single, "I Love Christmas" (produced by Sanchez Holmes/written by Holmes & G. White).

Additionally, The OMG Girlz recently launched their new philanthropic initiative, "OMG Cares." In support of young girls throughout the country and abroad-ages 12 to 21-OMG Cares will promote girl power, while combatting social, economic, educational and domestic issues including but not limited to: negative images, bullying, teen violence, domestic abuse, morality and Leadership. As well, The Girlz have been a part of the "Next Generation of Leaders, Teen TownHall Meetings" sponsored and supported by Scream Star Entertainment and Mauldin Brand Agency.
