Northwest Reggae Artist Bobby Hustle Releases Debut Album 'It's The Hustle'
By: Caryn Robbins Sep. 03, 2015
Seattle native Bobby Hustle will be hitting the road with upcoming tour dates for the fall, taking him across the country. These shows will be part of the continued support for his debut full-length album It's The Hustle that was released on his own independent label on July 17th, 2015. The record is comprised of eleven original songs with collaborations from 4-time Juno Award winner Exco Levi on the track Defend Them, as well as the Conscious Jamaican reggae kingpin Sizzla Kalonji on the smoker's anthem Smoke Some Ganja and was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Dynasty Studio in Seattle, WA by Dan Grossman and Michael Gore (MG) of Loud City Productions.
Since June, Bobby has been traveling throughout Europe with fellow artist Jah Sun, playing as many shows as he can while getting the word out about this new album. His travels have taken him to many countries and a wide variety of stages including Germany's Summer Jam and Reggae Jam Festival, and Italy's One Love Festival. Bobby has gotten press attention for his work on It's The Hustle since its release. Reggaeville.com noted, "There are plenty of American reggae acts in 2015, but none of them as genuine as Bobby Hustle", and NiceUp.com boasted, "Hustle's well-developed singjay style is a cut above many who harness the same method, never coming across as forced or trying to squeeze in more words than necessary. His lover's rock tunes sound sincere, as does his musical mission in general" Bobby's album even earned him a feature on iTunes Reggae for multiple weeks following the release date.9/16 - Bar XV, Portland, Oregon

In 2007 Bobby started working with Seattle, Washington based Dynasty Records and in 2010 he released his first song, "That's Right," on the Washington DC riddim from Bread Back Productions (JA).
