Music for Relief has launched a revolutionary mobile fundraising app, allowing music fans to support disaster relief and protect the planet by adding a small donation to their cellphone bill. With a few taps, anyone with a smartphone can add a small monthly donation (as little as $5) to their phone bill, then use the app to track how their donation is helping.

Music for Relief was founded by the band Linkin Park in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Thanks to the support of the music community including multiplatinum musicians and their fans; the charity has already raised over $9 million for survivors of multiple natural disasters and planted over 1.3 million trees. The new app will make it even easier for the music community to give back and help those who need it most.

Music for Relief's Chief Operating Officer Whitney Showler explains;

"Our new app allows music fans to make a difference by harnessing the power of the crowd. Imagine if everyone at the last music festival you attended gave just $5 via the app, we could help hundreds of thousands of people and make tremendous progress in protecting the planet."

Free for fans to install, donors can manage their donation via the app and will receive updates on the difference their gift has made; they don't have to share their bank or credit card details, they have total control.
