Los Angeles Master Chorale Appoints Andrew Brown Chief Operating Officer

The Los Angeles Master Chorale has appointed Andrew Brown as its Chief Operating Officer. This is a job title promotion for Brown who is entering his 16th season with the choir, one of four resident companies at The Music Center.

During his tenure with the Master Chorale, Brown has served as General Manager, Director of Operations, Special Projects Manager, Strategic Planning Coordinator, Marketing Manager, Community Programs Manager, and Administrative Assistant. Brown also sang as a tenor in the Master Chorale for 10 seasons.

Brown earned an MBA and a MA in Arts Administration from the Claremont Graduate University Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management. Prior to his MBA, he earned a BA in Music Education from Ball State University.

"This new title recognizes the tremendous contribution Andy has made to the Los Angeles Master Chorale during his tenure and it also reflects the leadership role he will fill moving forward," says President and CEO, Jean Davidson.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale will present eight programs in Walt Disney Concert Hall during the 2016/17 season. The season opens on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 with performances of Orlando di Lasso's Lagrime di San Pietro conducted by Artistic Director Grant Gershon and directed by Peter Sellars.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale is the country's largest professional chorus and one of Southern California's most vibrant cultural treasures. It is further heard beyond the concert hall via broadcasts by Southern California's Classical KUSC.
