Today, British pop artist, producer and songwriter Little Boots (aka Victoria Hesketh) announced she will be releasing her highly anticipated third full-length album titled "Working Girl" in the U.S on July 10th via Dim Mak Records and her own imprint On Repeat. Little Boots also premiered a brand new track from "Working Girl" entitled "Better In The Morning." In her own words, that track is "an ode to 'the walk of shame', the morning after the night before". The track was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Madonna, Charli XCX). Listen to the track here on soundcloud and via YouTube here.
Little Boots will also be embarking on a headline North American tour this summer. The tour will commence on the west coast atLos Angeles' The Echo, and making stops in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. throughout July. "Working Girl" - the follow up album to her critically acclaimed sophomore release "Nocturnes" - also features (alongsideRechtshaid) collaborations with Grammy Award winning Chris Carmouche (Outkast, Janelle Monae), UK house favorite Grades,Com Truise, Jeppe Laursen (Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way') and Simian Mobile Disco's Jas Shaw. A conceptually-driven album, "Working Girl" contemplates our hyper-active, paranoid and posturing modern world, punctuated with massive dancefloor beats. The title is also a wry nod to the 1989 film of the same name (see the tongue-in-cheek visual nods to early-90s yuppie couture that comprise the album's aesthetic). "The album's inspired by my journey from the beginning to the present, where I am essentially CEO of my own business and run an independent label," Hesketh explains. "It's also fun and empowering to turn the traditional associations of 'working girl' on their head."Official Website | Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud | Instagram | YouTube
