Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett's Jazz Album to be Released in January

Tony Bennet has confirmed that the jazz album he recorded with Lady Gaga this year is tentatively set for a January 2014 release.

In a interview from this spring that has only recently surfaced and sent to PropaGaga, Bennett makes the announcement, saying, "In January of next year we will release the album. It is a very sensational jazz album, with great jazz artists on it, it came out wonderful. I consider Lady Gaga the Picasso of the entertainment world. She is, you will find out. She is very intelligent and she is very right and she is a very talented person. I just love her so much, we're just like brother and sister together. We will always admire one another and do things together.

We recorded all great standards, quality songs; George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, songs like that. With a big swingin' band and great, great, jazz artists playing."

For her part, Lady Gaga released her debut album, "The Fame," in 2008, winning Grammys for Electronic/Dance Album and Dance Recording (for "Poker Face"), and earning five #1 hits. Her follow-up, "The Fame Monster," produced the smash singles "Bad Romance" and "Telephone," and recently received three Grammys, including Female Pop Vocal Performance (for "Bad Romance"), Pop Vocal Album and Short Form Music Video (for "Bad Romance"). "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" have sold more than 15 million copies combined.
