Joseph Rozum Releases New Single and Music Video SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH

Pianist/Composer Joseph Rozum releases a new single, "Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth", accompanied by a music video. The single was inspired by poet, author, artist, and activist Marie Kukula-Tyner's poem of the same name. Rozum was so moved by the meaning of Marie's poem that he wanted to bring it to life musically. The single is a powerful inspirational, gospel-influenced song that takes the listener on a transformational journey through "nature's church" on a snowy morning, leading them to a place of beauty, peace, possibilities ... and maybe even salvation. Rozum has five albums to his credit and is currently working on his sixth.

Rozum is best known for his riveting and soothing piano ballads, violin duets, and full band performances. His unique and distinct interpretations draw from many different styles, including blues, soundtrack themes, gospel, jazz, and classical violin. His music and piano artistry will leave a profound and lasting impression on you when you see him in concert. According to actress Dyan Cannon, "Rozum is quite a genius! His music is capable of not only entertaining but also calming, healing, romanticizing ... as well as rockin' out!"

Accompanying Rozum on his new single is singer, songwriter, producer, and worship artist Stephen B. Steward. Stephen hit the scene with his triumphant debut single, "With My Whole Heart". The high-spirited collaboration with the gospel icon, Andre Crouch, landed him a hit on the Billboard Top Gospel Singles Chart. His debut album, Enter Your Gates, released in 2014, debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Gospel Chart and plays host to a collection of praise and worship songs.

"Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth" is a reflection back on a time of struggle and doubt for Marie Kukula-Tyner, and how on a walk through the forest one snowy morning she found profound peace. Since moving from Southern California to the mountains of northeastern Washington over a decade ago, Marie has immersed herself in nature, finding inspiration to write poetry based on its timeless wisdom - and also to write her first book, The Spirit Factor: Reality-Based Spirituality, which was released in 2017.

This is the first of Marie's poems to be turned into a song but not the last. Rozum has also recorded her poem "The Sun, The Sky, and The Stars" as a spoken-word with actor Martin Sheen. Sheen is a long-time friend of Rozum's, and raves that he is "a talented musician, gifted pianist and composer, and magical in concert in pop, jazz and blues."

Currently, Rozum is composing music for several more of Marie's poems.
