Composer/lyricist Rob Rokicki will present "Spread The Love: The Songs of Robert Rokicki and Friends," an evening of songs from his award-winning musical Love, NY and rockin' new tunes, February 13 at 7 PM in The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Composer/lyricist Joe Iconis (Things to Ruin, Bloodsong of Love, The Black Suits), Nic Rowe and JamaAl Wilson join previously announced featured performers: Cortney Wolfson (Addams Family), Megan Reinking (Hair), Tally Sessions (Yank!, Legally Blonde), Brian Gallagher, Heather Parcells (Wonderland, A Chorus Line), Amanda Flynn (Wicked, Mamma Mia), Lorinda Lisitza and Michael Ruby.

Rokicki's "intelligently composed" songs serve as the foundation for several award-winning musicals. With collaborator Michael Ruby, Rob has written music/lyrics for Love, NY (winner of the 2009 American Harmony Prize), Relativity, Polly Want A Mortgage? (Winner Best Musical, Best Book, Best lyrics at the West Village Musical Theatre Festival), and 20toLife.

Rob is also composer/lyricist of Samson's Fire (BMI workshop), and Martha & Me. His songs have been featured as part of the York Theatre's NEO Series, Lincoln Center's Songbook Series, and have been seen performed at Joe's Pub and at universities internationally. He has acted in national tours, played in rock bands and music directed for the likes of Joe Iconis and others.
