Jake Clayton Releases 'By The Light Of The Moon' Video & Opens for Cole Swindell

Jake Clayton's new music video for the title track "By The Light Of The Moon" has been released online at https://youtu.be/WrxiPxLYGg8. The video was produced by Alex Bleeker from AMB Video Productions and provides the visuals to a country party, complete with bonfire, drinks and good friends. Jake Clayton will be taking his electric live show on the road this weekend opening for country superstar Cole Swindell in Columbia, MO at The Blue Note on Saturday April 23rd, 2016.

"The song 'By the Light of the Moon' was written about partying in the country. I grew up in rural Missouri where we spent all of our free time riding ATVs, mudding, and hanging out by the bonfire," said Jake Clayton. "There are tons of songs about having fun in the bright sunshine, but I wanted to write one about having fun in the moonlight. The song is also the title track of my new album."

A native of rural Mexico, Missouri, Jake Clayton is a gifted singer, thought-provoking songwriter and talented multi-instrumentalist who is garnering the attention of country fans and radio programmers everywhere as his hot new single, "What Not to Do" continues to climb the country radio charts. Jake has since been a utility man in the live bands of Tanya Tucker, Collin Raye, Jimmy Wayne, Joey & Rory and Jamie O'Neal, and travelled for several years with singer Sunny Sweeney on two major tours. And in 2015, Sweeney enlisted Jake and his own band to support her on Miranda Lambert's 2015 Certified Platinum Tour. Playing over 20 instruments as an in-demand Nashville session musician, he is now stepping out on his own to take his place among the greats of Country music.

Jake Clayton and his band have opened for Charlie Daniels, Jon Pardi and Jerrod Niemann. He recorded and produced the theme song for The Sportsman Channel's Legacy Trails TV show and, as a musician; he has entertained crowds at Madison Square Garden, the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Clayton's childhood in rural Mexico, Missouri was filled with the music his parents made, and he followed their path to the spotlights at the age of 13. Gifted with his late grandfather's fiddle, Jake immediately began blazing his own musical trail; fronting his own shows at 17, and hiring on as a fiddle player with The Oak Ridge Boys at the age of 19. He moved to Music City at the age of 20 and there, his highly-recognizable tenor - and ability to play over 20 instruments - quickly came to the notice of A-list players and a new generation of Country stars. Influenced by Garth Brooks, The Eagles and The Dixie Chicks, Jake also began honing his songwriting skills, inspired by writers like Tom T. Hall, Kacey Musgraves and Bob DiPiero.
