Hippo Campus Premieres New Video for 'South' - On Tour Now

Hippo Campus have released their latest video for 'South', the title track from their most recent EP (out October 2nd via Grand Jury Records.) Directed by JIMES and produced by HyperHouse, the visually stunning clip, shot in LA matches a typical sunny California day by the pool with surf-inspired guitar riffs for a hazy, dreamy result.

"The "South" video was an opportunity for us to create a series of images that directly reflected the vibe of the music. Rather than make a direct interpretation of the song's story, we wanted the video serve as it's own piece. It's ultimately a testament that there's no true self, we are many people, ever-changing with every moment that passes" - Hippo Campus

The young Minnesota band are already making quite a name for themselves in just under two years, initially meeting at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in 2013 which quickly formed a friendship that would ultimately become Hippo Campus. This year the band has racked up a noteworthy list of accomplishments including being named 'Best Newcomers' by Rolling Stone after their set at Lollapalooza as well as 'The Best Of What's Next' by Paste Magazine, one of Entertainment Weekly's 'Breaking Big' artists for the fall and a killer performance on Conan. The band is also making waves at radio, recently hitting #1 on the Alternative Specialty Chart, heavy rotation on Sirius' Alt-Nation and recording sessions with KCRWs Morning Becomes Eclectic and KEXP.

Hippo Campus is on the road across the U.S. until early December, including an immediately sold out hometown show at the legendary First Avenue and advance sellout shows in Chicago, Philadelphia and Brooklyn. After finshing this stint on the road, they will go back into the studio to write their next album.
