The Gallo Center for the Arts has added three shows featuring major Latino artists to its 2014-2015 season schedule. The shows are Norteño singing star Robert Tapia on April 8; Norteño band Los Tucanes de Tijuana on April 25; and comedians Teo Gonzales and La Chupitos on May 23.
Tickets for Roberto Tapia and Los Tucanes de Tijuana, ranging in price from $49 to $99, are on sale now and available online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. Tickets for Gonzales and La Chupitos, priced from $39 to $89, go on sale March 27 at 10 am. Among Tapia's hit albums is "El Muchacho," released in 2012, which hit #1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. The singer, renowned for the festive, party-like atmosphere of his live concerts, is one of the coaches on "La Voz Kids," a Spanish-language version of "The Voice," which airs on the Telemundo Network. The fast-paced and energizing music of Latin Grammy Award-winning Los Tucanes de Tijuana has filled venues across the U.S. and Mexico, including Dodger Stadium, New York's Central Park and Zocalo Plaza in Mexico City.
